I have two and I love them. They're extremely easy to install, easy to get LO in and out, and easy to adjust. It's also super comfy for LO. Even though I have a tall LO (95th%!) She still has a LONG way to go rearfacing and she is 13.5 months. I think it really depends on how they are proportioned rather than their actualy height percentiles.

I didn't realize the height limit either until I was about to get another convertible for my younger child. My son was nearly 3 at the time. I would say he's about average height. His shoulders were definitely reaching the highest setting for the straps. Luckily, I checked. We ended up just purchasing him a convertible booster and gave his sister the old seat. But it worked out for us because we have another kid to pass it on to.

I had no idea. LO is 18 months and almost 33" and she is still rear facing. We chose it because of the high safety ratings and easy installation.

My son just outgrew his boulevard rearfacing, he will be three in 2 months.

We also have a Britax Swedish convertible for use abroad. If I had to do it all over again, I would have skipped the bucket and gone right to a radian. I am not sure about the Clek Foonf, it hasn't been around long enough for me to have an opinion.

@runsyellowlites: I agree with you about the issue with the rf limits, it is way too low and some of them are lower than I think is ideal for ff too.

The pluses though, are many. They are so easy to set up and install, the seat belt lock offs that at least some include are much nicer than dealing with the stupid clip the Radian has. Adjusting the harness straps is usually very simple. The higher seat height lets kids see better out the window which toddlers seem to prefer over the Radian at least. I haven't had a chance to play with the Foonf but I would like to, I like the Radian but all the bits and pieces drive me bananas, it takes forever to set one up out of the box and I am always worried I didn't do it right. Britax has streamlined it so well that I feel safer using them since I have passed the learning curve for set up and installation.

I also think there is a big element of people buying what everyone else has, for a long time the Britax seats were hands down the best option, now they are a great option but depending on your circumstances there may be a better choice. Yet when everyone else has one you might just gravitate to it.

Well I got one from the free ride event. I didnt really research it for size limits RF when I decided to go for it but then again I was only 12 weeks pregnant when I decied to go that route. It is easy to use but biggest issue I have with it is it is too plush and hot for LO(we are in FL). I went with Britax because of the consumer reviews on their products and I fell in love with the B-Ready. LO was measuring in the 5th percentil until her 9 month check up this week and now she is up around the 60th percentile I started freaking out because her height is all in her torso, but we didnt actually pay for the seat really. So we are just going to use it as long as we can and go from there.

They had consistently good safety and consumer reviews, it fit into our car, it was comfy for dd (who is in the 90s% but switched at 7 months old) and I'm sure there were more reasons but since it's been about 6 months now I don't really think about it anymore!

@runsyellowlites: maybe they're referring to consumer reports? That's the only other place I know of that crash tests

@runsyellowlites: Yeah, I was talking to someone who was surprised I was still rfing dd who is 1. I was surprised she didn't rf longer..she works with babies! I guess there's a spectrum.

@runsyellowlites: lol. That scrunching up comment was what the other mom told me too. She laughed it off like I was being way overprotective. Oh well. (To be honest, for other reasons, I think she's an idiot, so it was easy to ignore...) I don't know if dd's bowed legs have anything to do with it but she hasn't complained yet, thankfully. (The bowed legs are genetic, she'll outgrow it. :))

My SIL recommended the Britax because they were super comfy. Her daughter loves it.

@runsyellowlites: yeah, CR is squirrelly. I know a lot of techs take issue with them.
