I chose mine because I LOVE the ocean and being on the beach. I look forward to it every year, and I always feels so at home and at peace when I'm there. My dream is to live near the ocean someday.

I changed my avatar on the gravatar site over a week ago and it still hasn't reflected here. Bummed because id rather stay incognito as haven't told work about pg yet. But mine is just me.

I was looking for a vintage swallow print (have a tattoo of one, sailors would get them after their journey because the swallows would come to the ship when they were close to land and sail back to shore with them, so no matter how far they went or what happened they'd always find their way home again), but didn't find one right away that I liked and saw this extremely classy 'fowl wearing pearls' and thought, yep! I'm totally a crazy bird wearing pearls! 
I kinda wanna find a good swallow pic though, or maybe just use my tattoo.

I saw the print of the owl made from coffee and fell in love. We did LO's room in owls, so it has sentimental reason, and who doesn't love coffee
plus this baby has totally turned into a night owl

@Coco Bee: yup! last night the only thing I hate about changing avatars (i keep all my avatars the same throughout my social networking) is that it takes time for people to get used to it, because they look at my pic before my username and people get confused.
