I've transitioned my 10.5 month old to one nap a day in preparation for daycare in 5.5 weeks. Is this going to hurt her brain or physical development? It felt like the right thing to do but now I'm really second guessing myself.

Don't worry, i had the same worries as you when i transitioned LO to daycare at 11 months. The first couple of months were rough but we eventually got to a good place. She'll probably still take two naps at home on the weekend to catch up on sleep.
I wouldn't worry about getting her used to 1 nap beforehand. I'd rather have her get whatever sleep she needs or can get while she's at home.

Due to our schedule I had to transition DS#1 to one nap around that age as well. He was an early talker, so I think it's safe to say it didn't adversely affect his development!

Miss A was down to one nap at around nine months and as long as your LO is still getting a good amount of sleep over 24 hours I wouldn't worry!

Don't worry about it. My LO was down to one nap at 9m and he is doing fine!
You may want to let her take two naps on the days off though. That's what we do. He just seems more tired when he is not as occupied/deviated

C transitioned herself to one nap at 12 months and just started sleeping longer at night to compensate. Shouldn't really be a problem!
