Will you consider plastic surgery after you are done having kids?

Yes actually. I'm already making plans. I'm not 100% for sure done having kids but that's the plan right now. I'm losing all of my pregnancy weight and having a breast reduction/lift. Depending on how my belly is after weight loss I may have a tummy tuck too.

It is definitely an option, pregnant with Lo #1 right now but depending on how my boobs fare I told DH after we are done having kids I might consider surgery if I feel I need it.

I have no problem with getting work done, especially if it makes you feel better about yourself. I decided prior to kids if anything got jacked after kids, I was getting it fixed. Thankfully, everything returned to normal so it won't be needed.

Nah. I feel like there is always going to be something on my body that I might not be 100% happy with and that is okay. No need to get surgery to fix whatever. Like I grew up haaaaaaating my lips because they are so big and now big lips are all the rage so I am glad I didn't mess with them. Plus surgery to make my stomach smaller or my boobs perkier won't change the fact that I have giant boats for feet so I might as well just embrace imperfect me!

@Anagram: I saw something the other day about getting in shape for burka wearing season. I'm all over that!

As to the original question, the only thing I really would want is a reduction, but unless it was bad enough that insurance would pay, I'm too much of a cheapo to spring for it. There's just too many other things that are more important to me to spend money on. I'm fine with someone doing it, though, if it helps them feel comfortable in their own skin.

Same as many PP's. I would absolutely consider it (and DH is comfortable with it if I want it/it makes sense), but I doubt it would actually happen. If nothing else, lasik would take priority for me as well.

I def would consider a boob lift/reduction and tummy tuck if lifestyle changes couldn't get it back to where I would be happy with my body. However, I am overly paranoid about risks with elective surgery and not sure I could ever work up the nerve to go through with it!

I'm open to it, but I don't know if it will ever happen. Lots of other things to spend money on, but if something was genuinely making me unhappy, I would fix it.

I'll never say never! Maybe, I'm not against it.

Yep but I also lost 120lbs before having kids. So it's more due to that.....I'd do tummy tuck, breast lift (not augmentation, just lift the suckers), brachioplasty.....is there something for inner thighs? Cuz sign me up for that too....

Oh and are we also counting lasik? Cuz that's more likely to happen than not.

I never thought I'd say this, but yes, I'd consider it. Not augmentation, but a lift. Pregnancy and nursing have done a number on me, and I'm not even done having kids yet.

I'd also love lasik, but I'm not sure if I'm eligible for that, due to some old scarring.

I would be too scared that something would go wrong and I would never wake up. I would definitely consider it but I don't know that I could take the risk for my outward appearance.

...We'll see how ugly I am in a few years.

I would not! Personal preference, and also I will never have the funds to anyway!

I'm considering a reduction after kids. Especially if after the next one, my cup size moves even further down the alphabet.

I have actually had a tummy tuck. It is no joke. I would have never thought that would be something I would do but I was really unhappy with the way I looked. I would look about 3 months pregnant when I woke up but at the end of the day I looked 6 months pregnant. I had an umbilical hernia and a 4 finger diastasis that wouldn't budge after physical therapy and specialized exercises.
I did fine after the surgery but I had to have my gall bladder out 5 weeks after my tummy tuck surgery and I had complications after the 2nd surgery so the recovery has been harder than I thought. I am happier with how I look, I don't have to find clothes to hide my belly anymore.

Nope. I'm not against plastic surgery ... I am against pain! I had laproscopic surgery last year, and it was reallllyyyy painful (I was only 12 weeks pp, so nursing was really hard). I guess after that experience I have no interest in ever healing from surgery again.

For me, a good bra can mask what breastfeeding has done to my boobs!

Absolutely. Once I'm done having kids, if there is something I'm unhappy with that can't be corrected naturally, I'd definitely consider plastic surgery. DH is totally on board with anything to make me feel good about myself.

Thought it would be fun to bump this thread and see if we got any more responses.

I am approaching the final trimester of my final pregnancy - I definitely plan to pursue both a tummy tuck and a breast lift - though I plan to see how things are 1 year PP....AND as I have always struggled with my weight I will need to maintain weight for 1 year before I allow myself to do anything...

I plan to get a breast reduction when I'm done breastfeeding DS. I have an HH bra-size when I'm not nursing

I've told DH I would like this if/when financially we can do it with no strain to our savings/lifestyle/ect. I would very much like a breast reduction/lift. I had pain before kids due to breast size, and now it's worse.

Nope, zero interest. My body isn't perfect, but I am perfectly happy with it.

Except for Lasik, I'd love to ditch contacts and glasses, almost 30 years of those already!

Nope, not in the cards for me, nor would I want to. My belly is flabby, but I really don't care. I carried a child, and probably more!!

I want to get a breast lift and a possible slight tummy tuck after my last baby. I've honestly never liked my boobs and have always wanted them a little smaller and a little perkier.
