My kids are almost 3 and 5 - I am wondering if this year I should leave out one gift that is unwrapped - I was thinking a high chair for DD"s dolls and the skateboard for DS.
What do you do?

We will wrap ALL the presents! My mom was crazy and even wrapped the teeny tiny things that went in our stockings (chapstick, pens, nail polish, etc)

We wrap all presents!
I'm having a hard time deciding which ones are from Santa and which should be from us, though.

I basically unbox everything, and put in batteries if the stuff needs it, then I use gift bags. This way we can play with the stuff right away and I don't have to fiddle around for scissors, batteries and garbage bags.

Everything will be wrapped. Even Santa, I don't care if DH doesn't agree. Although this year her big gift was bought at consignment, so it won't be wrapped.

I like to wrap, so I will do everything except big stuff (like the play kitchen this year).

@looch: I like how you think!!
@Mrs. Jump Rope: I have a hard time deciding too. From what I remember of my childhood, everything was from Santa, except the boring presents (clothes, underwear) and stockings. But, I don't want Santa to get all the credit

@Koolbreeze: we'll do the same thing.
@looch: this is really smart - I think we'll do the same thing once LO is big enough to understand.

Santa's are unwrapped & next year will come in a custom canvas bag with her name on it (saw it on Pinterest and loved the idea of a santa sack) & stockings unwrapped...but everything from us is decorated to the nines

@swurlygurl: same! We got some good ones this year. I want to be the cool parents LOL

I wrapped everything except what goes in the stocking. He hasn't gotten a large gift at Christmas from Santa, but if he were to get one (skateboard, bike, etc..), I'd just stick a bow on it.

@swurlygurl: @Mrs. Jump Rope: I always give DS the best gift from me and DH. I refuse to be outdone by Santa, lol

I wrap them all! Except last year I left her B drum unwrapped because I wasn't going to attempt that one.

@looch: That's really smart!
We don't have LOs yet, but when I was a kid, mom wrapped all presents from her and dad. Things from Santa (including items in stocking) were unwrapped.

gifts from santa are the only ones that are unwrapped (and assembled if necessary). The ones from us will be wrapped.

Oh yes. Everything will be wrapped, other than the stocking items.
