The last few times we went to the mall A gets so excited to go look at all the stuffed animals. We haven't let her build one yet because those things aren't cheap! However, my parents just gave us money to take her to build one for a very early birthday gift. Have you or will you take your LO to Build-a-Bear? If you already have, how did they like it?

Prob not BC they are to expensive and I'm not a huge fan of stuffed animals. But they are pretty cute!

we totally will. she LOVES stuffed animals, as much as I can't stand how many are all over our house (and weirdly, only a small handful are actually hers..some are mine from my childhood ha!).
that said, it'll likely be a one time deal - maybe potty training reward, or something! not constant

I took my little sister as her gift for being my flower girl and she was so excited. She built a pony instead of a best. I will definitely take LO someday. I think I remember my sisters pony only being about $30 with clothes? That's not so bad.

I took my nephew when he was younger and he looooved it. I would definitely take B.

If my boys get one, then I want one too. There's something so comforting about a good teddy bear!

We haven't done it yet but we made one the day we found out we were expecting N. I love build a bear and can't wait to go with N.

@locavore_mama: the animals A likes best were about $22-$25 (didn't see any over $25) and looking at the site the outfits seem to run about $15. I imagine accessories could run you closer to $100 if you let it but I think we can get her a really nice animal with a cute outfit for our budget.

haha I hope not! Not so much because of the money but every time I walk past that store it is just so much chaos I'm like... ugh I never want to go in there. Ever.
I've already told my mom if she ever gets our LO a gift card to that place SHE has to be the one to take her to build it

LO has one that we got on vacation last year. We could have done without the clothes and just got the basic bear which would have been less than $20. She sleeps with it and the clothes are never on the bear.

@Mae: haha we were at the mall last week and we walked by a build a bear. I muttered to DH I hope she doesn't see it, I hope she doesn't see it. Haha of course she saw it. And went BEAR!!! I was just like oh, yeah, bear, move along.
She would totally go crazy pulling all sorts of accessories and clothing. We'll let her grandma do that one.

Nope. I'm not a stuffed animal fan (allergies), and theirs are way too expensive.

We got invited there for a bday party so she got to build a bear then. I'm glad because I don't like stuffed animals so that gave us a good "excuse" to go. The store has since gone out of business so I think lots of parents are not fans?

DS has been twice. He's got a bear and a puppy and once in a while we'll get a new outfit for them. I'll take M when he's older, too.

DS has been a few times!
First time was his first birthday, he made Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer & loooves him.
He's also made a bunny and a black cat. He has a lot of fun there. -
We took our niece for her 4th birthday. She liked it, but was overwhelmed by all the choices I think. We'll take our kids when they're older and if they ask to go.

Probably not. DS has one my mom have him and he hates stuffed animals. He shakes his head no if you try and give him one.

The Build a Bear store closed in our mall so I guess we won't!
