When I was pregnant with my daughter I learned that my mom had her tubes tied after I was born and I was so surprised! All those years I had begged for a sibling gone to waste! LOL!
I told DH that if I had to get an emergency C-section with #2, then I would want to have my tubes tied while I'm there opened. He thinks I'm nuts even though we're both in agreement about only having two kids. So I said, "Fine, then you can get a vasectomy." LOL!!!

I don't think so. DH will probably get snipped eventually since that is an easier procedure.

I hope I can convince DH to get a vasectomy eventually. If I had to have a c-section I guess I would have my tubes tied.

No. We plan to wait a few years after this one is born then DH will get a vasectomy.

Probably not. At least not just yet. Maybe if we go for a third and it ends up in a C-section. We probably only want 2 but I'm not ready to give up the option for a third.

We haven't discussed it yet, but if our last were to end up a c-section, I would probably get my tubes tied. If not, I'm hoping DH would be up for a vasectomy. Either way, I definitely don't want to be on BC for the rest of my life...

I'm not sure... It will depend on if we have a c-section with our last and we don't know if this is our last or not so who knows!
I did have a dream last night the we had a c-section with this baby and the Dr tied my tubes without asking first!

Nope. I'm not certain that either of us would ever get anything done like that to prevent pregnancy. We only want one or two kids, but since LO #1 isn't even here yet, it's a conversation we haven't really had.
Either way, I wouldn't. I would kindly ask that he get a vasectomy.

Nope, I'll get another IUD after we have a second LO and then if we decide we are done DH will probably get snipped.

My mom never did because she always wanted more kids. Turned out it was a good thing because she ended up with more than she planned, happy surprises I will not get mine done and if we get to that point DH will have to take one for the team. Though he is adamantly against it, so I don't see either of us officially closing up shop!

No. This is 99% my last pregnancy.... But I'm not happy about it. It's for health reasons, not emotional. I think if I did that to my body I would be super upset. I think it would effect me less emotionally if dh did it..... Even though it would give us the same outcome.

If we have another, I'll have a scheduled c-section and will plan on having them tied then. If we don't have another, then my husband will probably get snipped.

Vasectomy is much more accurate/effective. Something like 1/1200 versus 1/500. That's why I opted against having tubes tied when my kid was born.

I haven't even discussed this with my hubby actually but I for my part would not ever get my tubes tied. We shall see what my husband wants to do but I would like him to wait until at least a few years after we have our second so that we can really make sure we are done.

Since my grandmother had ovarian cancer I will probably see about getting them removed once I am done having babies. I don't want to risk it if I can help it.
