So.....Amazing Race is currently accepting applications for the next season. If accepted filming will be sometime between May -July 2013. M will be just a little over 1.
I hope to BF till 1 so that won't be a huge issue.
Do you think that's too young to leave her for a month?
I'm conflicted! It's something my husband and I really want to do but I don't know if I can leave her for a month at that age?!

I'm sure it's really difficult to get on the show, so you should totally go for it and then make the decision if you get accepted. Good luck with your application!

and personally, I have a hard time leaving my 6 month old for 2 hours, so I definitely wouldn't leave him for a month at 1.

Yeah, I think applying and then reevaluating if you get picked is prudent. I could never leave mine for a week, let alone a month.

haha good point on applying first. But the decision would be SO much harder then IF we got accepted!
@cvbee: def can't bring her with. It's basically a race around the world. Hardcore, breakneck speed, backpacking etc. Not for the faint of heart. And definitely not babies!

@regberadaisy: ah ha. I thought maybe it was more of a 6 hours here and 6 hours there kind of thing. Maybe if you say you'll do it while babywearing that will be your in because no one probably ever did THAT before!

I couldn't even leave my 4 year old for month! She doesn't do well without me for more than a weekend sleep over at grandma's house though.

personally, I couldn't do it, but being on Amazing Race has ZERO appeal to me (I'm a total homebody) so maybe my opinion shouldn't count? lol
