Absolutely! Although I was it was an actual book instead of a playscript.

It's not completely written by JK Rowling right? I actually thought it was not written at all by her... but I just clicked the link and her name is on it...

@hellobeeboston: I'm going to guess they attached her name to sell more "books". I'm kind of wondering how the book is going to be like because it looks like the play came first so is the book going to be like reading a play script? I wonder.
From what I'm reading now which hasn't changed... she helped with the storyline but it doesn't say if she wrote any of it or maybe she wrote the book part? I'm a little confused.
I remember that JK Rowling wrote a book under a different name and it did terrible... finally she came out and okay this person was me... then it sold like hot cakes.

Yes! I can't wait until DD is old enough to appreciate the books so I can start reading them to her at bedtime. But I think 4 is a bit young, lol

@Raindrop: that's actually all it is, not an actually book, they're just publishing the script from the play. Although I'm pretty sure jk Rowling did actually write it.

@Miss Ariel:
https://www.pottermore.com/news/cursed-child-eighth-harry-potter-story
"Written by Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and Tony award-winner John Tiffany, the play is a brand new story written in collaboration with J.K. Rowling."

@Raindrop: I read a few of the detective books she wrote as Robert Galbraith, and enjoyed them!

@mrbee: I heard they were good. ;). They just didn't sell well at first.

@Raindrop: I stand corrected! I found the book on Barnes and nobles and it has 3 authors listed.

@Miss Ariel: hehe. I am really weary of it being the playscript in the book. I hope it is readable or they made it readable for people that don't read playscripts normally.

@Raindrop: Hopefully, someone will write a novelization of the playscript and post it online!

I was thinking about buying the ebook last night. Then wondering if the actual hard copy would be better.

I read it today while my kids napped. It was a quick read since it's a script. I really liked it, but I was generally excited to have any little piece of new Harry Potter in my life! Reading it in play form was so different than reading one of JKR's novels, even though I generally don't mind reading plays. The plot was not as complex as the books, of course, but it was exciting to get insight into the future of the main characters and their children!
