$25 for a single onesie? Italian cashmere for a baby? Nope!!
persimmon / 1447 posts
No. Those prices were ridiculous. I would never pay that kind of money on a LO that grows out of clothes in 3 months.

It'll be a while before they make it to Canada. But you can bet I'm hoping her aunts see this!
pomelo / 5820 posts
I wouldn't pay full price. I usually don't buy jcrew at full price for myself, either (and I don't typically grow out of clothes!).

They have footed sleepers in larger sizes!

I will when it's on sale.
Not the cashmere though, it's too ridiculous.

It depends on the sale, maybe for basic onesies and pants.
But seriously $125 for a sweater R is going to spit up on, no way!

If its on sale and for a special occasion, yes. Otherwise, no.
papaya / 10473 posts
Nope. I used to shop at J Crew for myself but I have found their quality has gone way down while their prices continue to go up. My last Tippi sweater had a hole after only a few wearings. No thank you!
pomegranate / 3003 posts
@grizz: I completely agree. I haven't been impressed with the quality, lately. For what I'm paying, I expect much better.
That being said, those preppy baby shoes will take restraint.

Maybe on mega sale. I can't bring myself to spend the money on me, much less on baby clothes. I love the J Crew aesthetic though! Maybe if my teacher discount were more than 15%...

I got all excited for a second because they ship worldwide, but then I saw the prices. Even with the 25% off, it comes out to the normal US prices. $146 for a sweater for a toddler is way too rich for my blood!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
Maybe on sale on occasion. Otherwise the prices are seriously ridiculous.

I can't imagine there ever being a sale big enough for me to consider their prices reasonable, so not likely.
I will use their cuteness to find similar, more reasonably priced items though!
nectarine / 2217 posts
we don't have jcrew easily accessible here in canada (actually there is a store downtown here, but still haha), so probably not, but maybe other cheaper brands will copy their cute styles!
pomegranate / 3890 posts
nope cant afford to. their prices are crazy, I will just find similar stuff for wayyyyyyy cheaper. and I had to lol at the shop cashmere tag. omg.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
Oy, cashmere on a baby? Not a chance!
Even their basic stuff is way too rich for my blood, so no. I can't imagine spending so much on something he'd grow out of so soon. I don't even buy it for myself!
honeydew / 7235 posts
Prob not - I think it's crazy. Don't get me wrong... i LOVE jcrew for mama, but those prices are nuts, cashmere for a baby? That's just silly. Maybe for a special occasion or gift I guess, but I won't be buying.
coconut / 8430 posts
Wow the prices are crazy! So nope!
Anyone see the "Anais & I" brand? I wonder if that's a play on Aden & Anais.
pomegranate / 3872 posts
I don't even really get it. Barely any of the stuff is even JCrew. If I want saltwater sandals or petit bateau I'd just buy it direct, not from JCrew. As far as the cashmere, if I was going to spend that much on a baby item, I'd go somewhere where I could get designer stuff. I bought a Little Marc Jacobs dress as a gift for around the same amount. Too expensive for what it is, I think.

@shopaholic: I imagine I would be constantly worried about baby getting spit up, pee/poo, or even just drool on it for that price! lol
nectarine / 2886 posts
@grizz: @deerylou: I agree with you ladies. Deteriorating quality, rising prices!
pineapple / 12526 posts
No, no and no. $30 for a sleeper that will get covered in god knows what? Fools are straight trippin.
pomegranate / 3388 posts
Nope. I used to be a die hard J Crew fan, but I rarely shop there for myself anymore and doubt I will shop there for my daughter unless things go on mega sale. IMHO their quality has gone way down over the years while their prices have gone through the roof.
