I updated my labor board when I thought I was having contractions. I had no interest in updating SM while in labor and I probably won't do it this time either.

I did. I read it recently and was touched all over again by all the support I received.

I did for my first but not for my second or third. Repeat C-Sections aren't that exciting.

@bluestriped bee: when in labor with LO2 1 days ago, I reread my in labor post from LO1 and it helped a lot. For LO2, I just posted in the labor watch thread for my month, but I am thinking of doing a birth story past at some point.

Nope. I may post a birth story, but I will be off my phone during the labor.

I had a scheduled CS so it wasn't particularly fascinating.

I actually really miss birth stories / birth in progress. They never happen anymore!

@Happygal: I cracked up at the "getting my bikini line shaved" part. I will say walking in to the hospital for my c-section was super surreal / awkward - "Hi, I'm here to get my stomach cut open and an elective MASSIVE needle in my back. Where should I put my underwear?"

We actually have a film of after my son was born for about an hour and I cringe when I watch it. My husband is like "Lbee, sweetie, they are giving DS a bath. Do you want me to wheel your bed over?" ... I say, "No, I'm busy waiting for the light to light up again so I can give myself more morphine." CLASSY.

I didn't with either kids! I think I posted a pic before heading to the hospital for DS1 and maybe in my due date thread?

@LBee: I was so concerned about my rear end hanging out, but I can't for the life of me remember how it happened. I'll ask my husband questions about these types of details, but he doesn't remember either.

It is probably good we skipped video, although I do wish we had thought about capturing some of those first moments on video. The pictures of me nursing me daughter for the first time are hilarious. I look SO HAPPPYYYYYYYY! It took me about 10 minutes to order my first meal after surgery b/c I talked slower than a super-stoned stoner. My husband was horrified.
