I think it means you might have fluid behind your ear drum or caught in your eustachian tube. I went to the doc for it once and he checked them, said he couldn't seen anything and don't worry about it even thought it's annoying. I get it even worse after flying and when I have a cold! You can try pulling down on your ear hole while yawning--sometimes that makes it stop for awhile.

I get earaches anytime I go outside when it's windy with exposed eas. I hate it!

@anonysquire: same here. My DH doesn't and I've always wondered what it is about my ears that causes that.

When I go out on the playground with my students on cold, windy days, I always get earaches. I hate it!

@Mrs. Sketchbook: I haven't heard that one, but was told that ear infections are contagious. LOL
