Three of my close friends got their daughters' ears pierced at a young age (before they were 1). One of my friends wants to pierce her daughter's ears soon, but her husband is against it.
I'm on the fence about the whole thing. One on hand, I think it would be easier to maintain/keep clean as a parent if you are having it done to an infant/toddler, and they won't really remember it. On the other hand, the parents who are against it have said that it should be a decision that the daughter wants to make, and it'll teach her a little bit about responsibility. They also don't think it's "right" to get a baby's ears pierced.
What have you done/will you do?
