Hellobee Boards

Initially we just had wood blinds like the rest of the house, but I added floor length curtains (I made myself with fabric from fabric.com) because they were cute. But they don't really block out light so we had to get black paper blinds that we stuck behind the wood blinds to make it dark enough to nap (we didn't do this until nap training at 6.5 mo). Also the floor length curtains were sort of an awful idea because LO keeps trying to pull them down. lol

@mrscobee: If you can sew a straight line it is exceedingly simple... I read that it was safer to put long curtains up with clip rings so that if LO pulls them down she just pulls the fabric out and can't pull the whole rod down on her head (that being said, I made my dad put up the curtain rods in her room because I trusted him more than us haha). I've also heard you can use no-sew tape rather than hemming (you just stick it on and iron for a finished edge).

We have wooden blinds and added pottery barn blackout curtains to go over them, they were a little pricey but you can wait for a sale and honestly they work sooooo well. I swear that's why my daughter takes like 3+ hour naps in the middle of the afternoon!
