What do you do for outdoor winter footwear for a crawler/stander/cruiser who will almost certainly be properly walking during the cold weather season?
He is currently barefoot almost all the time indoors (will NOT keep socks on) and wears sock shoes (see pic) outside. However, they're not at all warm and they don't stay on very well especially with crawling.

Following! My son just started walking recently. We got him sneakers for outside walking for now, which may be enough to get him through this season since I don't see a situation he'd be trekking through any wet weather or have to be outside for long.

This was us with E last year, I just got sneakers for E when walking was becoming a thing. I still carried her to and from the car to places and she was really only walking inside. It was easy enough to avoid her walking in snow/slush.

I have 2 boys who learned to walk in the winter! We did Robeez and Striderite shoes, very grippy!. (Zutano booties are the only ones they would wear indoors). The most they go outdoors as babies was just to the porch

Part of the tricky bit is that he goes outside for at least 2 hours every day with daycare any day that it is above 20ºF. And he is NOT into staying in the stroller.

I have two winter babies so far that walked between Oct-Dec. Honestly, at home we still tried to go barefeet mostly since we do have the baby mats/carpet, and felt it was just easier for them to learn that way. I also did have the soft Robeez/moccasins, usually I save one pair for indoor only and then one for outside (ok who am I kidding, I have girls and multiple pairs to match outfits lol). Then once they were confident walkers they were in stride-rite boots.

I find dd’s Boqs are really lightweight - not sure how small they come. I was worried about this last year but then she didn’t really walk till March so it worked out.

Pedipeds or the baby striderites that are flexible. Zutanos for inside.

Search Amazon for baby fleece booties and you'll see lots of options, that's what we used.

Yeah sorry, more of an indoor shoe, but def warmer than what was in the OP, and they "look" more like a shoe.

Stonz boots with winter liners. They are the only thing that would stay on. Try to find them used - they are pricey.
