Did any medications STOP the spit up? N spits up after every feeding...not just a little, but a lot. It covers her clothes, our clothes, our furniture, the floors, etc. Her doctor prescribed Zantac but it doesn't seem to help. She hates taking it and she spits up the same amount.
The odd part is, she's still gaining (a little but not a ton) and she's happy. The ped thought I just had an oversupply and her tummy was getting too full from her strong sucking reflex. I try feeding her less but it doesn't seem to work - she spits up still.
Any ideas? She'll be two months on Monday and we also have an appt with her ped. He keeps saying unless she wasn't gaining, then we would look further into it.
G's did, too. For what it's worth, at her 4 week appointment, the ped said he thought it was reflux but didn't want to put her on meds for it. So, I decided on my own to eliminate dairy after she presented a few other symptoms a few weeks later (screaming, yellow/green poop, and a stuffy nose). Within a week, little miss Mount Vesuvius was screaming less and spitting less. That's when we really noticed the reflux issues, though-she would arch her back, and it smelled like pure stomach acid. So, we got her on Zantac, which made her much happier. I eliminated soy a few weeks later, when the spit up came back, and recently beef, since it came back again after eating beef a bunch over Labor Day.
