I like smart wool, but they are pricey. Costco sometimes has them for adults for a reasonable price. Wish they would carry kid ones too.

Update: I ended up buying 70% wool blend socks by a Norwegian brand (Vossatassar). They were the only ones I found on sale. The 2-pack variety seems to be better quality then the single-pack ones. They're both nice and thick, but the singles seem to pill a lot easier. The singles are also slightly different: the portion at the top of foot is thinner for breath-ability (more like adult wool blend socks). I prefer the ones that come in a pack of two.
