People in my life are already asking if we're going to have more and when...(This is my second day back at work, DS is only 3 months old!)
How did you space out babies #2,#3, etc.?
I want to mindful of my career, esp because I want to switch groups in the next year or so and advance, but at the same time, do want to have our kids closer in age...

We're likely going to wait until LO is 18 months and have them spaced about 2.5 years apart. My son is currently 9 months. It has more to do with giving my body time to recover since I was on bedrest, but I think work would be annoyed if I had gotten pregnant right away with #2!

We have two less than two years apart. I am not in a super high powered career but I did think about it. In the end we decided it would be better to have them close together and then get on with other ambitions. Now, having these two so little I would definitely wait longer if I were to have a third (although I don't think that will happen!!)

We are going to start TTC for LO #2 when DS is about 10 months. He is currently 8.5 months.

I plan on staying in this position and we've talked about ttc for #2 when #1 is ~15 months old. I'll have been back at work for at least a year before i even get pregnant, so more like at least 2 years of work before going on maternity leave again. I'm not worried about it; it's not like I'm going to have 6 kids or anything

I'll be a SAHM whenever #2 comes along. I have good insurance through my current job so we will probably try to have one more under this insurance plan/at this job. But I want to wait a bit since the end of my pregnancy and l&d were complicated and difficult for me

This is such a tough thing to figure out. Although I am now a SAHM, I worked until I was 30 (when I had LO) and I want to get back to working soon. I don't really know the answer, really. But if I remember right, you are young (all people in their twenties are young to me - lol), so that should help. If you're able to, I almost think that just having children close in age would be better. With pregnancy and maternity leave, it does kind of slow things down as far as career progression, but perhaps it would be better to take a few years to focus on that and then be able to commit more fully once your kids are in school. Does that make sense?

LO is almost 10 months. We're NTNP, although since I'm still BF and needed Clomid the first time around, preg seems unlikely (famous last words...right?).
I think we won't actually try until LO is 15-18+ months. It will give me time to have my body back for a little bit and be re-established at my job, but still keep the kiddos close-ish in age.

i turn 30 later this year, so i'll enjoy my 20s while i still can!
I think overall the plan is to give my body a year to heal and not be pregnant. Then I think I'm game for whatever happens, and will deal with how it affects career. I'd rather be done with kids by 35 moreso than spreading it out and putting career first right now!

We're going to plan 3-5 years. We want to plan financially (DH is finishing up college, 2 kiddos at this time would be a LOT to take on although we're surviving now) and make sure he can get a job after he graduates and whatnot. Most of our friends who have had or are planning on having 2 kids have them much closer together but that's not a priority for us

People think we're crazy for waiting but we just don't see the point in rushing it!

@babyjmama: this was my exact reaction. LOL. yea no, in all seriousness, he said give my body at least a year. I was pregnant for almost a year, I need my body to heal!

@mrsjyw: Yeah I don't think I could do it sooner than that MENTALLY let alone physically! I haven't forgotten what labor felt like lol
