I do Target gift cards for teachers but also like to include a small gift - figured these would be cheap and easy - do you think the 1 male teacher would like it?

DH uses heating/cooling pads all the time for his aches/pains and injuries from the gym! Maybe in a more masculine fabric?

If you used more manly fabric, I don't see why not. its a little fancier than the sock with rice version the men in my family use for aches and pains.

@Mamaof2: Yes! DH uses hot/ice pads all the time. Perhaps I might pick a more masculine print for the male teacher.
ETA: he has chronic back pain/issues so he knows better than to not take care of it!

My husband prefers to just complain than use a heat pack (I've offered him one many times!)
If you're looking to make something easy, maybe quilted coasters? I made DH some for our anniversary (out of fabric from a bag of grits we got on our honeymoon) and he uses them and thinks they're neat.

@mrbee: haha
So what's a $5 gift you would want to receive along with a gift card?

@Mamaof2: Amazon or iTunes... so I could buy a book or app!

I read this thread as "Would you like a male like this?" and was hoping to see a picture of a hot guy like Tom Hardy, to which I say yes!

@Mamaof2: is this teacher a work out kinda person? If he is you have a better chance he will like this gift.

My husband wouldn't want it.
What about a mug, pair of gloves, or knit winter hat?

@regberadaisy: I don't think so
Maybe I should ask what kind of gift card he wants - I got him a Target one but now @mrbee: has me rethinking this!!

@Mamaof2: Maybe he likes Target!
I hate shopping, so I'm the wrong person to ask.

@Mamaof2: my husband would like a target gift card! You can get anything there!

@Mamaof2: haha! Thank you. He was in Inception as Eames and a load of other movies. He's my favorite!.

I think a small box of chocolates (homemade truffles if you are feeling ambitious) might be a good alternative. I did homemade vanilla last year which was easy and well received for a small DIY gift.
I think the thought is nice, but I think it has little to do with the gender of the recipient and more to do if they actually need/would use this at home.

This is a neat idea! And probably really useful for a teacher that might be buying their own supplies (you could really fill the cup with anything)

I think you're better off with a iTunes GC if he has a iPhone! Most men hate shopping and my DH avoids Target like the plague because it's always so busy!

this thread is cracking me up! and @Mamaof2: my DH suggested we make these as gifts and i was like WTH? ha. so he would like them! (in a manly fabric). but i second @mrbee: with the amazon or itunes GC. DH would never use a target card because he doesn't go there without me. ha.

@MaryM: oh, I love that! Saving for school aged ideas!

I wouldn't do a Target gift card. I know my DH would just give it to me. He only shops there with me and gets toiletries.

My husband uses my rice warmers as much or more than I do and my grandpa slept with one every night. I don't think they are manly but may be used anyway.
