I like matchy matchy so I wouldn't mind as long as you actually do like the M name!

I like "orderly" things so it would probably gnaw at me for 3 out of 4 to have "M" names, especially if this is your last. On the other hand, if you plan to have 3 or more kids, I would probably shoot for all 3 kids to have different first letters.

I agree with @runnerd! If the 3 current members of your family all share an initial, I think it would look disorderly to have the new baby have a different initial.

I voted other because I don't think they baby would feel left out but I think it's cute if you all want to match! My brother and I are both S's. My cousins are all C's and my second cousins are all H's. If we have another boy it will probably be a C but our little girl name is an H so we will break the trend!

While oyr first names don't start with the same letter, all of our middle names rhyme. Dh and LO2 are Jay, LO1 and both grandmas are Kay, I am May, my SIL and aunt are Faye. It works, and is a fun random fact.

I voted other because I know a few families who have the same initial and only one is strange (for other reasons).

My mom and two sisters all have the same initial and I've never felt left out. My dad does not share the initial but all the women in the family do. I love my name and never gave much thought to them matching more. I'd give your new baby whatever name you like best regardless of letter- I think the name thing could get a little weird when it seems too forced, which I doubt it will unless you have 9 more kids.

I don't think it matters either way! Like I literally just realized my mom, dad and sister all have names that start with the same sound. That never even occurred to me before, so obviously it did not bother me

I dont think it matters to be honest. I care more about liking the name than just having all the names start with the same letter. You rarely ever get to say all your names together but you will very often will have to call the names individually

I have a cousin with three kids. His first two kids are M, and so is his wife, but the third kid is a C. This bothers me to no end. I don't know why but I just think the third should be an M too to match.

DS is an I and I'd like the next kid to start with a vowel. Both my nieces are A.

I really like matching.

I think if I was #4, I would feel left out having the only non-M name
