We were at my in-laws for dinner the other night and my MIL kept taking DD (6 months) from me without saying a thing. She would just walk right up to me and take her out of my arms. The first time I was like ok, she's just excited to see Emma since we just got here. The second time she did it it was during dinner (I was holding her in my lap while eating) and as soon as she finished she came over to take Emma out of my lap. At that point I planned to tell DH to talk to his mom and tell her she just needs to ask to hold Emma before just taking her out of my arms. It seemed so rude to me to just walk up and take her without saying anything! Then after dinner I was in the dining room holding her while talking to my FIL and the way I was standing in a narrow spot between the table and buffet meant you couldn't fit between while I was standing there. Emma was playing with a flower in a vase when MIL comes up behind me so I didn't move as Emma was engaged in something and FIL was enjoying seeing her. She couldn't stand not touching Emma so she reaches her arms around me (like she's hugging me from behind) just so she could touch Emma's arms. Hello, personal space! Then she tried to reach around me from one side to take Emma from my arms and just says "come". I lost it and snapped at her. I didn't yell or anything but I spun around and I'm sure I sounded angry when I told her she needed to ask first and not just take Emma from my hands. She didn't say anything and just sat in the dining room chair. Not sure how pissed she is at me.

Curious if this would annoy my fellow Bee's or if it was just me? She is difficult to deal with and I think I'm on high alert whenever I'm around her.
