We already have a bunch of the basics so we didn't put them on our registry. People don't seem to understand that and I am already getting questions as to why I don't have X item on my registry. Rather than repeatedly telling people we already have them and risk people thinking they are going to one up us and buy something we didn't register for, I was thinking about adding those things to our registry and just marking them as purchased. That way people see that we know we need them and they were already bought. They don't need to know who purchased them or when.

Is that weird?
