It would be hard for people to attend if they have little ones! But if we hosted one in New York one day.... do you think you would attend?

NY? Absolutely.
If I had to fly, it would probably depend on where it was held.

Only if I happened to be there visiting my family. I couldn't afford to go just for a meetup.

If I happened to be in NY or close anyway, I might. But I don't think I'd make a special plane ride for it, much as I love the bee.

I'd love to, but it would depend on what was going on in my life at the time.

maybe we'd give away a plane ticket for someone to attend! and hb'ers could bunk together to save on hotel costs!

Dunno - never been to NY. I would love to meet everyone though!

I have to be forced to fly. I would love to attend but not sure if y anxiety would allow.

Hecks to the yes! We could probably get a hotel block!
pomelo / 5321 posts
That would be so much fun! I definitely would if we were in the continental US!

Probably not - a flight, etc. wouldn't be in the budget and I am definitely not prepared to juggle LO and a trip on my own. I wish there were more Midwest bees though so there was a local meet up!
You could also do a VRBO and rent a house to save $ for attendees to split.

OMG yes, that would be so much fun! NY is a 4 or so hour train ride away, unless I could talk DH into taking a road trip, but even a train ride would be fun, especially since there's an Amtrak station literally across the street!
Please do this!

Yes!!! But I go to NYC often enough, used to live there, and have plenty friends and family I could stay with. If that weren't the case I'd probably be more hesitant.

definitely!! living 15 min away from manhattan helps though i wouldn't mind offering my home for 1-2 hb'ers to stay with!

If it was in NYC, definitely! And I can offer up couch space/floor space to non-locals.

if it went well, we could possibly have one in LA too since we visit family there!

YES! We visit New York a couple times a year since family lives there- it would be ideal!! I would love that.

That would be fun!
@FutureMrsMcK: we could be train buddies...I get on in HBG!

Maybe once the baby has weaned. It would be fun!!

@dagret: Definitely! I'm in Elizabethtown. I think there's one station in between Hburg and Etown.

I would love to but I live in Ca so that would be a big trip for me. With enough heads up and ample time to plan, I would consider going. It would be so neat to meet everyone!

I'd love a NY meetup but I'd feel weird going since I don't have an LO yet.
pomelo / 5789 posts
Yes totally! Ideally 2 months notice would be good and I would time it with a visit to mom so that SO would be on board with booking a flight.
