Nooooooooo way! How could you possibly sit still for 14 hours being that pregnant? Sitting through a 1 hour work meeting or work dinner at 37 weeks was painful to me with my first. I'd call in with fake labor- "I think this may be it... oh guess not, oh well"

Nope! I definitely wouldn't go that far away when you're this close.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Actually- how badly do you want the baby to come right now? Going to the meeting sounds like a great way to entice the labor gods and get things moving Every time I sat in a meeting like that my last week, contractions started happening!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: You're what..39 weeks now? To be honest I think an hour was the longest I could be in the car at that time, and that was with D driving!

Hell no! I was also on maternity leave at 36 weeks. I drove 2 hours for our baby moon during that time and it was long enough!! For work, no freaking way.

My dr says no going more than an hour away from the hospital after 36 weeks, so nope!

Nooo...not only for all the reasons stated above, but driving raises your blood pressure, and 2 hours (well, 4 all together) would not be good.

No way! I would do a meeting if it was local and I had someone that could help me get to the hospital if needed.

I wouldn't go... I told my work I was on "bedrest" after my due date (I wasn't, lol, but I couldn't deal with everyone constantly asking me about when I would have the baby)
