Cafepress has a really cute t-shirt that I want, but I am not willing to pay nearly $30 for it.
Would it be wrong to use Word and t-shirt transfer paper to make my own version of it?

No, because I've seen that saying all over the internet in different forms. I don't think cafepress has a claim on it...just a user who probably designed it in word and uploaded it
