Dropping DS off at daycare for the first time today. I know everyone there wants to see the newborn. Would it be better to carry her in with the car seat canopy or wear her in in a wrap? Wwyd? Since she's only a week I'm really trying to shield her especially at a daycare!

Carry but don't take out of the car seat

Wear. I felt like people were more likely to touch LO in the car seat. And when wearing you can kind of turn away or cover her head a bit.

I carried DD in the stroller bassinet the first few times I picked up DS from daycare after she was born. (No car.) But the kids come out into a hallway where their coats and shoes are, so I only see a few, if any, when I pick up DS.

I think people would be more likely to touch her in the car seat. If you have a wrap style carrier it would be hard for people to touch her without touching you so they might feel less comfortable touching her without asking. I know when co-workers brought babies in car seats to work everyone always touches/grabs their hands/feet.
Although if you have a cover you could always say she's sleeping so that people don't try to touch or bother her!

ETA: It will leave your hands free to *defend* if need be!

I would keep in the car seat with a cover. If people stop you, you can say the carrier is really heavy and you need to keep going.

wear her! and like pp have said, get a cover, and say she's sleeping...
