My little sister visited last weekend with her two kids, and mentioned that she did a weeklong child swap with one of her friends. Her friend's daughter stayed with her for a week... and then her daughter stayed with her friend for a week.

That helped them both make it through the summer breaks without paying a fortune in child care. It was definitely an interesting idea!
