We found out yesterday that one of our dogs most likely has lymphoma. We will find out for sure on Friday when the tests come back. We have three choices.
1) do nothing
2) steroids to ease pain until we have to put him down
3) expensive round of tests to see how bad the cancer is followed by chemo therapy

Our dog is an 8 year old beagle. He has epilepsy and has been on phenobarbital for years now, eventually it will get to his liver. Lymphoma is a relatively curable cancer as long as it hasn't spread. My husband and I are leaning towards just doing the steroid treatments. It so hard to make that decision.
