Not the week before Christmas (we've had stomach bugs at Christmas before and it was such a bummer). But otherwise, probably yes. The safest time to eat is probably after a chain has had an issue - they'll have been extra diligent cleaning it up b/c the Dept. Of Health will be all over them!

Sure would! I had surgery a couple weeks ago, and the meal I requested on the way home was Chipotle! And it was delish haha

I would, but I'm dairy-free right now and Chipotle is no fun without cheese, so I haven't been in a while. I actually noticed yesterday that the Chipotle near my office in Manhattan that normally has a line wrapped around the restaurant at 1pm (probably 75 people) only had 5 people on line. They are definitely hurting.

There's a chipotle and moe's by my work, but I rarely eat there anyway.

Yeah no! Especially considering a lot of the exposed Chipotle's are near where I work. There are a lot of other similar options I prefer...like Boloco (for those Bostonians).

No, not before christmas...but afterwards sure bring it on

I guess I'm in the minority because I think eating there now is safer than it was before/during the e coli and norovirus outbreaks. I probably eat there once a week, and I'm pregnant. I'm more sketched out by the salad places and food trucks that are my other lunch options at work.

I'm pregnant so I probably wouldn't risk it. It's not something I really crave, and the one near work usually has gigantic lines that I hate waiting in.

140 people got sick from Norovirus at one in our neighborhood, so I won't be going there anytime soon!
(People are suing because of it, too!)

No. But I also don't really like Chipotle so not that difficult for me to avoid.

No, I don't eat their often anyway, but super no with all the food poisoning.

@morecoffee: Yeah I kinda feel like that they're safer now but I also figured I'd give them a couple weeks to implement all their new food safety protocols

No!! The affected areas keep spreading. Highly likely they have not figured out their supply chain issues this quickly.

I would if I wasn't pregnant. I may in a few weeks or months assuming nothing else comes out. I wanted it so bad last week, but I'm scared that I'll hurt my LO.

FWIW, I ate there yesterday and immediately felt sick afterwards, which has continued to today. I actually hadn't remembered that they were having quality issues, and when I mentioned my (mild) food poisoning to my husband last night, he said "Oh, you ate at Chipotle? You shouldn't have-they're having huge issues right now." Oops. I won't be back for a while!

Nope, I got food poisoning from there a couple years ago and it ruined it for me : /

So the day after I originally posted on this thread I ate at Chipotle. It was so good
grapefruit / 4455 posts
No because last I heard they didn't know what caused it and it was several locations... and to be honest I don't really like chipotle!

I am on an elimination diet for breastfeeding and the ONLY place I can eat out is Chipotle! (I can eat one thing: a bowl with lettuce, brown rice, small amount of beans, chicken, and guacamole!) So, I eat there probably 2x a week!
