As we were driving on the highway this weekend, DH joked that if we got pulled over for speeding, I had to fake labor to get out of a speeding ticket. I thought it was funny, but wouldn't actually do it-- 1) bad karma, and 2) wouldn't they then want to escort us to the hospital? That would take longer and be more expensive than a speeding ticket!
What about you? Would you fake labor to get out of something?

No, but DH totally got pulled over and ticketed (for turning right on red when not allowed) when I was 39w, and I totally thought about it.

Ha ha!! The thought totally occurred to me last weekend as I drove my mom somewhere. THen I had a visual of the policeman escorting me to a hospital, and me having to pay for the "contraction monitor" check-up, ER visit, or whatever. LOL

One of my friends did this! They actually got pulled over on the way to the hospital for their induction. So, they didn't lie when they said they were on their way to have a baby, but they weren't actively in labor. They did get out of the ticket though!!

Haha...I don't know if I could! I'm sure I've thought about it, though. I've definitely used being pregnant/postpartum as an excuse for many things, lol

Yes. I have no shame lol! And I have never ever been let off with a warning when I have gotten pulled over so I deserve a break!

I wouldn't fake labor because I agree they would want to escort you to the hospital. I would probably just apologize and say "I'm so sorry I just have to pee sooooooo badly because I'm so pregnant!!"

@Dandelion: Hahaha 13 months after we first started TTC and I still make my husband empty our litter box in case I am pregnant so I don't get toxoplasmosis!

@MamaMoose: We got stuck in traffic right after a desperately needed bathroom break-- I told DH if the traffic had happened before I really would have had to pee on the side of the road! So yeah, that would not be faking it!
Like you guys said, I'm not a good enough actress anyway. Plus it would be like, Oh... wait, the contractions stopped. Thanks, officer, we'll just be on our way at the speed limit now.
