Would you? How long does your wash, cut & blow dry typically take?

No, just because my hair stylist is always late. Its normal for me to wait a half hour.

Yeah I agree with @artbee...I would feel so rushed and get stressed out trying to get it done on my lunch hour..My stylist runs later too and I like to enjoy my time there!

I am usually done in an hour but it does take a full sixty minutes so if she is late or you need to drove three etc it would be hard. My husband gets a few odd remarks if he does it which surprises me, especially since he works sixty hours a week.

I haven't and I definitely couldn't. My stylist is just too far away from my office. However, just yesterday one of the girls in my office went and got her hair cut at lunch! She loves doing it!

No, cause I usually hate how they blow dry my hair . I like it better when I flatten it myself.

Never. First of all, I have a ton of hair so it takes a really long time (and I always have it colored in addition to the cut). And secondly, it is a chance for me the relax and enjoy myself, not stare at the clock the whole time and stress about getting back to the office in an hour's time!
I got my eyebrows waxed once on my lunch break and was proud I was able to squeeze that in.

No. My stylist is too far from my office for it to be convenient, and all the little hairs on my skin absolutely bug me.

I've done it before, but only because I work five minutes from my salon, I usually don't have anything complicated done (just a trim) and we're pretty casual about lunch hours here so I'm not too concerned about getting back in exactly one hour.

If there was a decent salon close, I would, but my office isn't really strict about lunch. If it took 90 minutes, I would just stay 30 minutes later that evening

@twodoghouse: @Mrs. High Heels: do you ever feel weird about going back to the office in a new do??
pear / 1664 posts
No because no matter how tight they put on the smock, my neck always feels itchy from the little hairs. Gotta go home and shower after a haircut!
honeydew / 7230 posts
@regberadaisy: Not really, but mostly because I work with a lot of women who do the same thing! Maybe if I was doing something dramatic it would be weird. But for a trim I don't think anyone even notices!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@regberadaisy: no because my haircuts are really basic, usually a bang trim and some layers in the back. Nothing drastic!

@regberadaisy: wash. Blow dry. Straighten. Cut!
Takes foreverrrrrrrr cause his asst freaking makes sure every single strand is straightened!
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
Never because I have too much hair! Blow drying takes forever.

I would if my stylist was in the same city. Butthis reminds me of a co-worker who would sneak off for a haircut on company time. And making me cover the work. Yep, damn union job.

I go to a lady who does it out of her house. She doesn't wash it but she can cut and dry it in about 40 min. Only $15!

I have done, but mens' haircuts take a fraction of the time that ladies' cuts take, even at a nice salon.
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
Yes! I wouldn't get it washed or dried (that would take too long) but I would get it cut and styled!
honeydew / 7303 posts
I wouldn't because my stylist is always behind, by the time I would get there i'd already be late, and I would feel awkward going back to work with a new style!
pomegranate / 3331 posts
This is too funny! My boss (male) did yesterday during lunch and I was so annoyed because I could never swing it - my hair takes forever to dry...men have it so easy!
grapefruit / 4823 posts
if it was just a cut, maybe, but i only get 30 mins for lunch, so probably not. my stylist is always late! and i'm usually there for over 2 hours, but i also get my hair highlighted 99% of the time.
