I think it would be really fun but I don't think I'd find someone with the same faith and values as me!
I don't know if I'd ever actually apply either because my family would not approve!! Haha.
Would you?

Never! It's way against my feelings in terms of dating & seeking out a spouse! I can't even watch it. Lol
pomelo / 5073 posts
No. I enjoy watching the train wreck that it is most of the time, but I wouldn't want to be on it.
pomegranate / 3890 posts
Like @runsyellowlites totally dont agree with it morally. plus im pretty sure alot of that show is staged

As a contestant or as the actual bachelorette? Either way, I honestly don't think I could. Between having my family (the thought makes me sweat bullets alone) or friends (not so bad) see me make out with random dudes, profess my undying love for some guy I just met or having to tell the camera for the umpteenth time how I truly believe "I will find my soulmate on this journey," I just couldn't do it. That, and getting into prime-time bikini shape sounds torturous. Now, doesn't mean I don't love watching me some train wreck week after week : D

never. i can't stand those shows. our society has such a warped view of relationships and marriage that now they've been turned into a game show.

@LMOG47: hahaha I totally thought the same about bikinis! I couldn't believe how amazing Emily looked after having had a kid. I feel I could get look like that.

Never. While the show is a total guilty pleasure of mine, I feel that the entire thing is very staged. I mean, every "date" is so completely contrived and unrealistic, how could one genuinely fall in love?
Besides, having to purchase all those evening gowns would stress me the eff out.

The travel would make it tempting, but the other stuff is so not for me!
coconut / 8430 posts
No, that is one reality show I would not apply for! I don't think I would let my family, friends and the rest of America watch me go on dates. Too weird.
I've only watched 1-2 episodes, but I'm also not the type of girl they look for. I'm way too quiet and awkward.

Nope, I couldn't do it. I'm too emotionally unstable LOL. I'd so be the girl having the emotion breakdown in the corner that the bachelor has to constantly reassure.
My sister has joked about going on for a long time. She could definitely do it too. She'd be in it for the travel, the experience and making friends though. We both know that most of the actual "falling in love" part of the show is totally staged.

@mrsmate: ME TOO! I have always told DH that we should apply. And when we watch, we talk about if I would do that task or if he would
pomegranate / 3204 posts
No way! I'm too shy and wouldn't feel comfortable in front of cameras, and besides I think the whole concept is ridiculous! I do watch it though!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@deerylou: haha! But the show pays for the dresses! I think it'd be an awesome excuse to dress awesome all the time.
pomegranate / 3003 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Oh, really? I was unaware. I thought they had to bring them all with them. In that case, shower me in princess dresses, ABC.

Not even if I was paid. I can't really even tolerate watching it. The whole concept seems so forced and contrived.

Nooo! Love isn't suppose to happen that way along with pp's, I would be mortified if my family saw me getting nasty with some guy on tv.
nectarine / 2936 posts
No. I'm way too shy and the thought of making out on camera is the most repellent thing ever.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
No. First of all I'm too shy, and second of all I just don't think that's the way to find love.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@deerylou: well... Don't quote me on that. I'm assuming they pay for everything- housing, food, etc...
eggplant / 11287 posts
Why not? I wouldn't marry the guy but I would go on just for the fabulous travel and hilarious entertainment. And the free clothes. I'm in!
pomegranate / 3759 posts
I wouldnt simply because I would probably be to boring for them to take me! I love what the show is about though! Its entertainment value is through the roof. Im sure every single person who goes on their knows what could happen.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
I wouldn't go on it for love. But the trips/dates would be fun. I'd be the girl that would go to the bachelor and ask to leave though.
pear / 1563 posts
I don't think I could do it! Also like @Lindsay05:, I don't think I'd come off as dramatic enough to be a good reality show contestant. The only reality show format I'd consider would be something skill based or fitness based - where the contestants are actually doing something - not just a dating or living in a house kind of thing.
squash / 13199 posts
Never. Its not realistic that any woman would seriously want to share her man with 20 other women, and go on group dates
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
Nope, I'd be way too scraed to do something like that and make a fool of myself.
