Our daughter turns 6 months tomorrow!
With a family of around 70 people ... We MUST start planning now!
We are leaning towards going all out, cowgirl theme, renting a pony.. and so on.
Her birthday is in the very beginning of April and we are planning on having the party at a local park.
In San Diego the weather in April can be up and down so we are considering delaying it a month out. However I am not sure that I REALLY like the idea of waiting an extra month.
would it be a big deal to you to delay the birthday party for a month - especially the FIRST bday party!

I don't think I would. But I also wouldn't want to do a huge party for a 1st birthday-- it seems overwhelming to the birthday girl and to me! For a second birthday, yeah, I could see waiting for the weather for a month.

C turned 6 months today!!
We are in England and our family is in St. Louis. C's b-day is April 3rd and we're doing one party here with our friends and then one May 25th at home in St Louis. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Its pretty typical for our family to go all out for first birthdays. Everyone pitches in and with such a huge tight nit family and EVERYONE living in San Diego there is an average of 2 birthday parties a month throughout the year! I think my daughter is used to seeing so many people. Everyone always wants to hold her and so on too because she is the baby of the family (for now.)

I think it would be a bit awkward. I know weather is a factor, but I would still try to do it in April (maybe the week after or so).
