It seems like 99% of HB is married or engaged. I am only 24 and surprised that I have baby fever already. I think most of it results from wanting to have a family with my husband. If I were single, I think I wouldn't be thinking about babies yet. However, I know some women want babies more than they want a husband! Do you think you'd have baby fever regardless?

Had baby fever at the same time as you, 24. I probably wouldn't have it as bad if I wasn't married. Part of the raging baby fever I has was very tied to the fact that I wanted to make a baby specifically with my husband and become parents together. If I was single I wouldn't feel that at all and would only have the regular ole "babies are cute" baby fever.

I had baby fever before I met dh. The second I broke up with my ex it hit me. Of course I knew I wanted to be married first .... but it was still there!

Yes, because I'm 31 and really really want to have kids. So if I was single, I'd probably be starting to worry that I wouldn't meet someone in time and would get too old to have kids. I wouldn't want to do it without a husband, but yeah, it would be bad baby fever. If we were dating and not married yet, it would probably be even worse!

No, probably not! I didn't have baby fever when I was single, or now that I'm married. The fact that I'm pregnant hasn't even given me the fever. Kid better be awesome or I'm returning them.

I don't know. I know it has definitely become stronger in the last year or so as EVERYONE has been having babies... I wonder if I'm allowing myself to feel it more because we're married, as there's really no reason why we couldn't get pregnant right now. Hubby wants to start in Dec though (6 months of marriage under our belts) so Dec it is!

I definitely have had baby fever from before I met DH! But also knew I wanted to find my soul mate to have a baby with first. I think my biological clock was part of my baby fever. When a former fiance and I split when I was 21 and I remember being almost as sad that it meant no baby in my near future. I think I have just always wanted kids! I definitely pushed harder for DH and I to get married sooner because of my age and baby fever.

@SweetMamaM: Oh mine DEFINITELY got stronger after we got married. Before it was like, yeah, soon, love babies, but once we were married and the "stigma" was gone, it was like, I want one NOW! It was hard to wait until our agreed upon timing.

Nope, I think my age has more to do with it. I've been with DH since I was 19 and didn't have baby fever until I turned 30, we got married shortly after.

THE fever got really strong when we got engaged and after we got married it was super intense! So I do think that I'd have baby fever even if I wasn't married but I never would've actively tried to have a baby prior to getting married.

I've had baby fever for a few years now (I'm almost 27), but it really intensified after we got married. It was like in my head it was finally "ok" to have a baby (not that I think there is anything wrong with having a baby before marriage, I personally just wanted to wait) and planning for baby replaced planning my wedding!

I had baby fever before I met my husband--it started around age 25 and I met DH when I was 28 (I'm 34, had my LO right before my birthday), and there were periods of being single and attached all while I had baby fever. DH knew I wanted a baby pretty much soon after we met! (Glad he stuck around!)
I really wanted to be in a committed relationship before having a baby but not necessarily married--though I'm happy we were married before we had our baby.

Definitely not.. But I was really young when I got married so I had no baby fever even our first year of marriage.
Perhaps if I was single and five years down the road....?

I've had baby fever flair ups forever! More so since we were engaged.

I didn't have it until I was married to my husband. I had strong urges of wanting a child with my previous boyfriend, but that relationship wasn't going anywhere so I had to put those feelings on ice.

Not at all. Baby fever only really hit me once we started TTC and the baby fever I have now might just be because I am soooooo over TTC.

My baby fever went from "oooh one day" to "he is definitely the one I want to make a baby with - one day" to " baby, pleeease. NOW". Getting married was the turning point for me. Start actively TTC for #2 in just a few months

I've never really been the baby type. I've always seen children in my future but I've never really imagined myself with a baby and certainly didn't have any active desire to make one.... until, literally, the week after my wedding. I went to delete my wedding countdown - but, instead, re-set it to the date we were planning to TTC (May 2013). Four months later, I was consumed by full blown baby fever!!
I don't think I'd be this crazy if I wasn't married but it wouldn't be far off, I'm sure, as I'm in my thirties now and you can hear the ticking a mile off!

Nope, I don't think I would! I think a HUGE party of my baby fever is wanting to see my DH as a father. He is so great with kids that it just makes me want to have his baby!

I had baby fever from around 24- DH and I were already dating for a while but not engaged/married. It definitely kicked up a big notch once we were married though!
