Mine don't really have anything to actually do with DD...

1. Breastfeeding. I wish I had started to pump sooner to try to up my supply, if I had known that I was going to have low supply and have to supplement by 7 months and wean by 9 months.

2. Babywearing. I wish I figured out how to wear her sooner! I had a Beco but couldn't quite get it to work well. Then a friend lended me a k'tan but she had gotten too big for it. It worked out later when I sold the Beco and got an Ergo.

i am not sure how i would manage it, but i do wish i could go back in time and not work full time for the past 2 years, i wish i found a part time job or negotiated something with my current job (which would not have worked because my boss would not have went for it and i knew that).

I feel like any other bad parents moments i've had stem from my exhaustion from working full time. in the past week and a half that i've been off work on mat leavem(new baby not here yet), i feel my relationship with my son has improved for the positive because i have more energy, time, and attention for him and can be more mentally present with him more often.

Nursing! I took for granted that she'd figure it out once she got a little bigger, because everyone said she would. Yeah, nope. EPing here, and have given up even trying for the occasional nursing session. I would have taken it much more seriously and done things very differently.

Also, pushing for them to take me seriously on the signs I might go into labor early. I was told over and over not to worry, by high risk OB's, midwives, everyone. I strongly felt that she'd be early, but when I was in early labor I dismissed it because I'd been told not to worry unless I had clear signs of labor like bloody show or my water breaking.

I wish I could go back in time to the newborn days. I'd tell myself to go pump and then sleep as long as possible and then I'd sit there and enjoy my teeny tiny newborn. I was so stressed in those days. I was so so tired and I didn't know what I was doing in terms of feeding him, and in my crazy hormonal state I'd get offended if he refused to breastfeed.

The paci. He became not as interested in it around 10 months or so and I could have taken it but I didn't. Now he's addicted to his paci at 2 and I don't think we'll be able to get rid of it until he's old enough to understand it's time to put the paci away.

@Bubbles: I know - if only I could have seen into the future to where my daughter would be an awesome little *person* rather than a colic monster... I suppose that's now how it works.

@winniebee: Thanks for posting this. I've been losing my patience with DD1 so easily for not listening and being disobedient. I need to remember that life has changed drastically for her since little sister arrived so I have to be more patient with her. She's such a sweet big sister but she always wants to hug on her, hold her, basically wake little sleepy, sister up to play.
