know sooner (early bfp) or later (shorter pregnancy countdown)?
DH was asking me what I prefer to do, test earlier to know or find out later so that the pregnancy "doesn't seem as long..."
I'm not really sure, but he did make a good point. Either way, I'll def chill out on the POAS this go around of TTC~ 
(which I think was his intent)

In a perfect world I'd rather not realize I was pregnant until like 6-8 weeks because it would cut out the scariest part of the pregnancy. But realistically there is no way I'm not peeing on that stick ASAP lol (next time around, if there is a next time, I do think I'll REALLY try to wait until I've missed my period... but who knows how that will go).

Sooner. I wouldn't want to do anything I wasn't supposed to do if unknowingly pregnant.

This past time around I was definitely desperate to know as soon as possible. I am hoping next time I will be one of those people who don't find out until like 8 weeks! It would save me a lot of that early anxiety and I don't really need to change any habits like drinking so I am all about finding out later.

Sooner - like the moment fertilization occurs!
I think it would be SO awful to be one of those people that finds out they're 5 months pregnant... you only have 4 months to mentally and physically prepare!

I waited until I missed my period to POAS, actually a few days later and that was the perfect amount of time.

Sooner.
I had low progesterone in my first pregnancy (that ended in MC) and I wonder if I'd known I was pregnant earlier (we weren't trying at the time, so I didn't know until a week or so after my missed period) if the supplements might have been able to do more to prevent the MC

Later for sure, I was not drinking/smoking etc and taking folic acid anyway when ttc, I would have loved to have found out around 8 weeks, as I tested 10dpo and jeez that was a few nerve wracking weeks until the first scan!

I've had both. Didn't find out until 10 weeks wit first, 4 weeks with second. Much rather early bfp.

I actually tested sooner this time around (9dpo) which I sort of regretted Bc it made the first tri seem soooo long.

@mrsjyw: I would rather know later on. But I think anyone who is actively TTC there is no way of not knowing early.

I'd say sooner! I think you're right; it sounds like your doctor wanted to dissuade you from testing as much.

Later, because I had some intense anxiety those first few weeks having had a prior miscarriage. BUT I know that probably wont happen! Heck, for both of my pregnancies, I got my BFP at 9dpo.

Later I think, but probably not THAT much later lol. I don't like testing early for multiple reasons. With this pregnancy I wasn't expecting to be pregnant... so I tested after what would have been the TWW. Didn't make the pregnancy feel that much shorter, but at least I was sure I was pregnant!
If I could find out like at 10 weeks, that might be nice, because it would take away a lot of the first tri worry. I doubt I wouldn't realize something was up by then though lol.

I'd rather know later but I'm doing vaginal progesterone suppositories and don't want to do them any longer than I have to.

I'd rather know late. I'm always an early tester but the first trimester seems to then take forever!
