No, I think I am happy being a WAHM/WOHM!

I'm a SAHM and wouldn't change it for the world. The only time I ever get a tiny twinge of missing it is when I see super cute work clothes in the shops and have to pass them by as I have no place to wear them. Other than that, I do not regret being a SAHM in the slightest.

To be fair, I worked in my two careers (social work and teaching) for nearly ten years so I feel well established for when I go back someday, probably when all of our children are in school full time. DH and I have always intended that I would be a SAHM so we've structured our life accordingly and finances are not an issue. Lifestyle changes have occurred because of the baby, but not for financial reasons. Even if finances were an issue, we'd make every change we could to ensure one of us was home with the kids all day.

If you really want to stay home, I'd closely scrutinize your finances now and see if it is feasible. I'm a big proponent of doing everything possible to make staying at home a reality, even if it means giving up some things you previously loved, if it's what a couple wants to do. With your LO in day care every day, will you still be bringing home enough money to keep up your DH's idea of financial security? Has he crunched the numbers to see if you could make it if you cut back on luxuries? If this is something important to you, I'd fight tooth and nail to make it happen as you would hate to look back and regret that you weren't home with your baby. Good luck!

I'm a SAHM and would rather be a WOHM. I hate being at home all day, I hate feeling like I have to be responsible for all the housework, I hate not having any time away from C.

I love her, I love that I am getting to spend a lot of time with her and that we're bonded but... it's really driving me crazy.

I'd ideally like to work part time, but otherwise I'm happy as a sahm.

I prefer WOHM, but I wish I could have a flexible work arrangement so I could work 1 or 2 days from home. I love having my own money and I get bored when I stay home with LO. Plus my DH loves the "curriculum" that LO gets at daycare.

I'd rather be a SAHM. That's probably what I'll end up doing.

I go back and forth - sometimes it absolutely guts me to leave DS in the morning and other times I just need the break from home and satisfaction of getting tasks done at work. A shorter schedule would be ideal, but not possible, at least not right now.

I'm a substitute teacher and only have to work one day every six months to stay employed. I haven't worked since November (LO was born December) so I plan to work a day in march/April just in case I ever want to work next school year...but, I doubt it!

I love knowing that I will be around to watch my baby grow and learn, God willing. My cousin picked up her daughter from daycare and they mentioned how excited they were to see her daughter had started walking...my cousin had never seen her walk...oops. I would hate to miss those amazing moments (:

We talk about me going to the "other side" all the time, however we are in the same boat and enjoy our financial security with 2 jobs. I'm hoping by the time baby #2 comes I can be in another more flexible position where I choose my own hours!

I'm a WOHM and there are good and bad things about it. I'm a better mom for getting to have some breaks from LO, and the financial security is great. But especially with my long commute I hate how busy and tired I always am and how one little thing throws off our routine for several days. In my perfect world I would still work, but on a reduced schedule or from home FT so I would have a few more hours a day to take care of the house and spend with LO.

I wish I could be at SAHM

I will be a SAHM once LO gets here, which is what we've always planned on. I can't say how I will feel when I'm in the situation, but right now, I just don't like my job enough that it would justify me leaving LO, on a purely emotional/satisfaction level. Financially, my salary would cover daycare with not that much extra to take home, so it's not a big factor in the decision. DH makes way more than me, so currently we will be fine living on just his salary. What does make me nervous is that everything will hang on his job, without any backup like my salary to fall back on.

But, I really want to stay home with my babies and we can afford it, so that's the plan for now. I'm very grateful that I have a choice about it.

WOHM if I was able to support our family DH would be a SAHD.

Can I have both please? Working part-time would be nice, 3 days of work and 4 days of baby & me time.

If I don't find a new job soon I'm going to be a SAHM for a while and although it's scary for our finances, I'm looking forward to it!

Before I had LO I thought I'd love to be a SAHM. Having gone through maternity leave and now that I'm back at work full time, there's no way I could ever be a SAHM. It's not in my blood. I love my baby but I love working too.

I desperately wish it were possible for me to be a SAHM!

I'm a WOHM and given my husband's hectic career and the fact that I do like being home, I would rather SAH.

WOHM. I wish I could cut down on my hours a bit, but I would not want to SAH full-time. I'd definitely get resentful and grumpy.

Both! I love staying at home for the most part. But I do get a grown up day a week at work and work from home in evenings and weekends. We are able to keep our heads above water with me bringing in 20 hours a week, but have to be cautious financially.

This is perfect for me, being at work keeps me creative, but being home gives me the flexibility of schedule too. I love going fun places with my boy and getting the time to work on improving our house.

I am not made for the 40+ hour a week schedule out of home- I was miserable even before baby.
