10-15 minutes late. My uncle arrived 2 hours late on Christmas Eve one year and he had the ham.

About 10 minutes late is perfect!
If I were going to be 90 minutes early somewhere I would call before showing up and offer to go hang out at a coffee shop or mall or something unless I was expressly told it was okay to come that early.

Late! Unless it is my mom. She can come whenever :). My dad always says he will arrive at 9am and I'm rushing to get organized and he shows up at 830. Annoying!

@MamaCate: exactly! 10 mins early is one thing, an hour +some is totally different!

Definitely late! We have worked out a good system for getting our dog calmed down before guests arrive. If people show up early the whole process is ruined and he'll end up jumping all over people at the door!

@twodoghouse: I don't want to threadjack, but if you have any tips for the dog jumping issue I would love to hear them! We are working on this right now and struggling a bit.

Late. The time before people are expected is the time I use to clean up my daughter and the trail of bread crumbs that she leaves around the house.

@swedishfish People only seem to run late when they are bringing key ingredients or main dishes.

I'm almost always ready to way too early and waiting around for people to arrive, but 90 minutes early is absurd!!

Late. My family always gets to family dinners early. If it's a 6:00 dinner, everyone is there by 5:45. It's so weird. I don't live by them, so luckily I'm never the one hosting.

Late, unless it's my parents or sisters. They always help, so is like it when they come early.

Late. Definitely late. Only a few minutes, mind.

Late! It's not good when you're still cleaning and setting the table, and the guests are already there. And they have to wait for everyone else before we sit down to eat, anyway
