I guess street smarts are more important if you could only have one or the other. I wouldn't want my LO not to have common sense about the world, otherwise I'd worry about them nonstop!
What about you? Street smart or book smart? And were you more street smart or book smart? (I'd have to say street for me....)

I am more book smart (though I'm not completely un-street smart). So, following in my example, I'd rather my LO be book smart like their mama!

i think i'm more street smart. my hubby is more book smart. i'd have to say i think i'd prefer more book smart. if you're book smart (with some personality), easier to climb up the ladder. gets your foot in the door. and you know your field very well.

I'm more book smart, DH is more street smart. I'd prefer book smart - street smart/common sense I've built over time and experience... I couldn't go back and build book smart from scratch.

Rob Sr. is definitely more book smart-- he actually likes learning and school. Bleh. 
I'm more common sense smart. I would prefer RJ to be more book smart... and marry a girl who's common sense smart

I would say I'm more book smart and DH is more street smart, so it's a good combination.

Hmm this is hard to decide. DH is more book smart than I am. Like @TINA said, my DH too actually enjoys school! Ugh!
I think I would prefer more book smart. I HOPE our LO gets that from DH, I mean I always did good in school and what not, but I didnt LOVE it like DH did.

I think I'm probably a combination of both (not super smart in one or the other but just average in both). My husband is definitely more book smart than street smart. I hope my son is more street smart than book smart. I think having good instincts is really important for navigating through life.

Book smart. It's a lot easier to teach street smarts. If someone isn't very book smart that's tough to fix.
