This is a hard one, but I would hope she would have common sense. If you don't have enough brains to do day to day things and make right choices then you don't have much going for you. Being smart and doing well in school is important of course, but if I had to choose I would say common sense/street smarts.

I've known too many folks that are book smart but can't get anywhere because they have no common sense or social skills. Some of the smartest (book-smart, like PhD, etc.) folks I know struggle and work from home because they have no idea how to interact with people and the rest of the world. -
Common sense. My younger sister lacks common sense, and I feel like I'm constantly guiding her through life.

This is a tough question! I would probably go with common sense as well though. I know plenty of people who have done really well in life even though they didn't do well in school and some of them didn't even graduate high school. And they get paid a lot more than me! LOL

I would say common sense. Book smarts can always be learned but common sense isn't something that can be taught - you either have it, or you don't.

Hahaha I want to say book smarts. But I can't imagine really what it's like not to have common sense. Eek.

Common sense. It's a heck of a lot harder to gain that than book smarts.
