I have taken tylenol, but I don't take advil in the tww.

I really tried to stop taking Tylenol once I learned it was a class C pregnancy drug. In the TWW I don't think it'd really make a difference but I was surprised to find out it's possible effects on a baby in utero.

@runsyellowlites: I tried to take as few pain meds possible when pregnant...I know Advil was a definite no because it's a D class but Tylenol being C class isn't much better...

Yup, I took it all the time while KU so wouldn't worry about it during the TWW.

I take it during pregnancy so most definitely would in the TWW, I'm pretty laid back though

My doctor and my FIL (pharmacist) agree regular Tylenol is fine during pregnancy, so I had no problem taking it in the tww. Now, I wouldn't take Tylenol 3 (codine) while pregnant, which I believe is a class C drug.

Maybe I was getting Advil and Tylenol mixed up. Did anyone take Advil during the tww?

Yes, with both pregnancies I have taken both (Excedrine during my first pregnancy pre-pink stick). I'm pretty lax on most of the pregnancy scare tactics.... er, I mean "rules". I go with moderation for most things.

@HLK208: Advil can cause a mc so I'd avoid that in the tww. I didn't know you were TTC!

@MamaMoose: good to know! Ack. I took some the other day and didn't think twice about it. I also took Tylenol since I've been having crazy headaches lately. Maybe I'll just try avoiding them all together for awhile if I can.

I have taken Tylenol, Advil, strong migraine drugs, drank alcohol, etc., in the TWW. I really don't think it's a big deal- don't fret!

Advil is a progesterone blocker, so I'd avoid it, but I'd take Tylenol.

No on the Advil but yes for Tylenol when I was 13 or 14 weeks I went to the hospital with a head ach that wouldn't go away I had it for 5 days straight. Found out my potassium was low so they gave me Tylenol and a potassium pill and me and baby are just fine I'm now 21 weeks and he's healthy so far and I do take Tylenol from time to time now when I feel a head ach coming on. @HLK208: just wanted to add that Tylenol is actually a class B when taken orally, just peaked at my drug book to double check!

Yes to Tylenol, no to NSAIDs. I have heard taking a bay aspirin after O helps with implantation, though.

I've taken both tylenol and advil in the TWW. I understand why people abstain but I don't think there's real risk that early. of course I am also in the drink till it's pink camp, you go crazy if you TTC a long time and abstain from everything every TWW.
I also took tylenol while pregnant, I had awful headaches in 1st tri and needed to manage them.

I took it ... I had no idea I was pregnant, and I needed it for some pain. I would NOT take Ibuprofen.
Once I found out I was pregnant, I stopped taking everything.

I stopped taking Advil when we started TTC and take Tylenol only when I feel really bad!

It's okay with my doctor during pregnancy, so it was okay with me during the TWW for sure. If you're worried you could skip Advil, since that's not okay during pregnancy.

Agree with @bhbee: if you are ttc for ages and abstain in the tww you are basically spending half your life denying yourself things! Ttc is hard enough a it is!
