I seriously want to get one. There are some stylish ones out there nowadays! We go to the playground often, and a fanny pack would be a convenient way to keep my wallet and phone on me. My backpack and cross body bag get in the way when I'm chasing the kids.
Would you wear one? Have you seen any cute ones?

It comes in a ton of colors (love the jaguar, red and tan), and can be worn as a crossbody, fanny pack, or clutch.

Nope I have a clutch with a spot for my phone and a wrist strap. It's easy to keep on me and keeps everything I need. I take it to disneyland all the time (with his backpack for diaper changes).

@brownie: i have a wristlet and it gets in the way so i'm looking for something hands-free.
i'm also a little paranoid about putting my wallet/phone in my backpack after my uncle got totally pickpocketed that way!

I was JUST talking to a friend about this. She has a really cute one that she uses. It's leather and really nice. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet.

I used to have one! It was orange and pretty hip-looking, if I do say so myself ;). It was basically a clutch with a removable belt that attached to the back. I got rid of it because I never used it, but definitely regret that decision now that I'm a parent.

No, I wouldn't wear one. I'd rather use my cross body bag, no bag, or a slim back pack. I can't wrap my mind around this, haha. While the ones you posted have cute designs, they are still fanny packs and there's no way I'd be buying a designer fanny pack either! Sorry

I want DH to wear one because he hates carrying things in his pockets so he either shoves his stuff into my purse or leaves his sunglasses, wallet, keys, and phone EVERYWHERE. He has lost expensive sunglasses a few times that way too. Drives me NUTS.

I think fanny packs are SO practical.
Fashion baffles me sometimes. I don't get why fanny packs are a fashion faux-pas. I guess because they were an 80s/90s thing that was embraced by uncool dads and moms in mom jeans? I still don't get it. Someone explain it to me!
I don't like carrying a purse most of the time, so I resort to wearing pants with pockets and just carrying around my phone/id/credit card. I would totally use a fanny pack if it were socially acceptable, but I cave to peer pressure.

@mrsjazz: I wish I could, but if I'm honest, I care too much about what people think! 
For things I'm confident in, I can totally march to my own drum. But I am very self-conscious when it comes to clothes/fashion so I just follow the crowd. Thanks for the motivation though!

5 years ago I would have said NO way. Now, the practical aspect of them is sooo tempting!
The next time I go to a theme park or big Zoo, etc, I am totally getting a fanny pack. Carrying around a loaded backpack and then turning it around to get what you need is SO annoying.

I googled a little before deciding. And I've decided you have to be thin, wearing very fashionable clothes, wearing a slim "fanny pack" (can we not call it a waist purse or hip bag?) to not look super frumpy.
The only fanny pack I can tolerate here is the Kardashian one. The rest are yucks to me.
