I voted go to work but ONLY because in my job if I'm out it really puts a strain on the other ppl in my department so it makes it worse when I do go back. If I weren't in a small dept that relied on me, I'd stay home.

It sux but I would go to work. I'd save the sick days for anything that might come up in the future. If your LO will be okay with your sis and the one who is really having a hard time is you, then I'd tough it out and go. If you think LO will be significantly better off if you stay with her over your sister, then I would stay.

I'd say go to work. It's great that your sister can watch her. I'm a teacher, too, and received a warning from my principal in January about my attendance - all days I missed staying home with a sick LO. I know you feel guilty leaving your baby, but you did spend half of last week caring for her. I'd try to save the days you need to take off for times when you have no back-up care. When is your Spring Break week? Wish it could have been this week. Hope R feels better soon. It's great that you have childcare with your sister. I would choose that and go to work.
