Let's talk about YNAB and how you organize and categorize things.

My question: How do you categorize Target, Amazon and Costco purchases? Is this different from groceries (if you don't buy any food). Do you split it out (clothing and household goods... etc.)

@bluestriped bee: I usually record split transactions for these things. For example our last Costco bill got broken down into Groceries; personal care; household goods; kids clothing and car maintenance.. Lol

I split too; sometimes if it's just a few bucks difference I don't care.
