After wanting to do a yoga class forever, I finally bit the bullet and did a beginner class this morning! So I tried a place that I thought had the best balance of times and styles, and am feeling kind of meh about it. Everyone in the class was 50-60+ and pretty inflexible - not their fault, I'm sure it happens to everyone eventually and time will catch up with me too! It was frustrating for me because I'm a bit more flexible and want to focus on getting my poses right so I can do something more challenging.
Is this just how beginner classes are or do you think a different yoga studio would have a different vibe? A lot of the population in this area is around that age so if it's likely that every class is like this, I'd consider driving further to a studio that's geared more towards my age (and has great classes like plant-based eating, cloth diapering, etc)...it would just mean I couldn't go as often.
