This is actually the third time this has happened to me! The previous two times I got stuff from Anthropologie, and it was in my size! The package has my name on it, and my credit card didn't get charged. I previously returned the Anthro stuff (not that they noticed or cared when I called to tell them about it!).
If you received two coats from J Crew (same style, 2 colors) in your size, would you keep it or return it?

This kind of thing has happened to me before and I let them know...I figure it's the right thing to do, and karma will always come for me if I don't do it.

I would call them and see what they say. It would be so hard to not keep them, but karma will come back for sure.

Maybe someone sent them to you? Did it come with a packing slip? I'd call and ask about it. And ask them if you can keep the coats. HAHA.

I got some GCs mailed to me before. I called & told them about , got interrogated on the phone for an hour and then never heard back from them. I finally went to check if they were actually "usable" months later & they were. So I figured, I'd already done my part. I think if u call & let them know they will either ask you to send it back or not. If not, hey! Win-win!

I'd call. Thir customer service has always been good to me...giving me discount after purchase if item has gone on sale, etc.

I'd want to keep them... but I'd call. Paper Source sent me a bunch of envelopes before and they let me keep them. I was surprised!

Lucky you! If it wasn't addressed to someone else and it was their mistake I'm not going to waste my time returning it b/c making a trip to the post office is kind of pain with two kids unless a prepaid returned label is included for returns.

I ordered a britax car seat from albeebaby & they sent 2...so I called and they didn't care! Also- they made it super annoying for me to return it.
Then 3months later the same thing happened with my pump! And when I called I waited on the customer service line for 20mins & they couldn't care less! they asked me drive down to the nearest BRU & return it. At least it was lighter to lug around than the huge, boxed car seat.
I'm not sure ill be as patient next time.

This happened to me with JCrew, too!! I called and they didn't care AT ALL. I was annoyed that I went through that hassle and they were not even polite about. I'd just keep the coats - serves them right for not knowing how to run a business.

That is so weird! i'd call them back. I've had a few packages supposedly be "delivered" to me, but in reality, I never received them! My only guess is that someone received my packages and kept them

I'd keep the one I like better and send the other back... or just keep both. J Crew's customer service has been majorly lacking lately, so it serves them right. They actually just sent me a coat in the wrong color, so I had to get them to send me the right one. I have this kind of stuff happen with them all the time, but it has never happened to me with any other clothing company.

I'd like to think that I'd call, but if I'm being honest, I'd keep them. I mean, it's not like the company's hurting for money. I could definitely use a new winter coat!

II believe in my state that if you're sent something you didn't order, you are well within your rights to keep it. I would. I got sent two pairs of skis and bindings once. They're still up in the attic. DH should really CL them some fall...

It has your name on it so I wonder if someone is buying you stuff. Can you call the company to find out who placed the order? It would creep me out if it was the third time it's happened.

This happened to me with shorts, sweat pants, sweatshirt, and sports bra from Victoria's Secret. I contacted the police lost and found, posted on Craigslist, and contacted Victoria's Secret to get a pickup for return. The UPS guy never came and no one contacted me and after 2 months I just opened the package and kept all the stuff. It has been about 5 years since then.

Eh, if I liked them, I'd keep them. And maybe give one away, since they're the same. I order practically everything online, and have had this happen a bunch of times. I called the first few times it happened with companies, but they all told me to keep it, and that it wasn't worth it to them for me to return it. I just think of them as gifts for being such a good customer, now. This doesn't apply to etsy sellers, though. Just larger companies like PacSun. Macy's, Jcrew, Anthropologie, etc.
