They placed M on my chest and DH just looked down at us from the stool next to the bed and stared with a look of pure awe on his face as he wiped away a few tears

He just had a GIANT smile on his face and he jumped up as soon as they pulled her out and went with them to clean her up and he kept saying "she is so big she is so beautiful" over and over again. She wasnt really big but i think he expected her to be tiny.

He was concerned, there wasn much chance for a reaction becausw LO had to be rushed to NICU. But DH cried the first time we went to the NICU and our LO looked right at DH.

He bawled. In fact, he was bawling while I was pushing her out, and then cried even harder when she was on my chest! I remember watching him cut the cord and his hands were shaking SO bad.

I love this thread. DH is a pretty non emotional guy so I'm very curious to see what his reaction will be. He's been so protective of me threw my pregnancy which has really surprised me.

He cried. I didn't even notice until the midwife instructed her assistant to give him a tissue =) It was so sweet!

He came over to us (baby was on my chest) and whispered to him hello and told him how happy he was that he was here. Then he told me how proud he was of me (I went natural) and how much he loved us. It was really sweet.

If I recall correctly it was a look of horror but with tears in his eyes. My OB held DD up for us to see at the same time he asked if DH wanted to cut the cord.
