Last week I posted asking for chicken thigh recipes and you guys delivered in a big way. So now I have another request -- what's your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe? 
They are such a classic and I know there are a million variations (thinner, chewier, bread-y, lots of chips, less chips, etc.) and I'm in the mood to bake some tonight with a new recipe.

Picky palate has a done of different versions, including the Oreo inside of a chocolate chip cookie, and all her recipes are great.

I am still looking for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. My perfect kind are a little bit salty sweet. I'm always looking for a cookie where the cookie tastes as good as the chocolate chips do. This is a pretty close one.

I typically use the one on the bag of chocolate chips! I usually double the vanilla

I like the "best chocolate chip recipe" off allrecipes but I chop up semisweet chocolate bars into it, so it has shavings of chocolate. And I like mini and big chips

These are the thick and chewy kind - it's best to chill the dough in the fridge for an hour or two...not necessary but helps them turn out way better

I like Phoebe from Friends secret family recipe handed down from great aunt Nestle Tollhouse. Totally a comfort food thing, I'm sure since they're the only ones my mom ever made too.

My favorite...made them the other day 
Chocolate Chip Cinnamon Cookies
1 cup butter shortening
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 t vanilla
2 cup flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t ginger
1/2 t salt
12 oz choc chips
1 c pecans/chopped nuts (optional)
Chill dough for at least an hour. Roll in walnut sized balls in powdered sugar. Bake at 375 for 10mins. Mmmmm.

@Crystal: They are on the soft side, unless you bake an extra 2 mins (I like 'em crunchy sometimes).
Oh, and one of the keys is letting the dough sit overnight!

The is the recipe from Top Chef and it was the winning chocolate chip cookie. Best part is that you don't need soften better. It's really soft and chewy. It's my new go to chocolate chip cookie. Just keep in mind that when it's showing 1 tablespoon of salt that you're using Diamond Crystal kosher salt, it's not as salty as Morton's.

YUM! Thanks everyone. I ended up making @Espion 's pick - the brown butter chocolate chip cookies - and they were fabulous! I'm bookmarking this page though and will be trying all of them!

@LMOG47: This is an interesting twist to the chocolate chip cookie. I have never seen a chocolate chip cookie rolled in powdered sugar or one with ginger or cinnamon in it. I think I'd like it though!
