I'm hoping to stock up on diapers for this baby, since with A we were gifted a bunch and it was awesome! A was in NB size for almost a month, and then size 1's for quite some time. I do have some pampers baby dry (size 1) and Huggies snugglers (NB). I am trying to decide which brand to go with. I didn't love Huggies when A was bigger and Target brand NB were too rough in my opinion.
Any suggestions for your favorite brand of diapers for the newborn stage?

I've really liked the pampers swaddlers that have the strip that turns blue when they're wet!

I loved Pampers Swaddlers. Huggies used to leak too often for us and the blue line on the Swaddlers when wet makes it so easy. She's 11 months and still fits in size 3 Swaddlers, I love them : )

So compared to other types of Pampers are these just softer? We used them very little with A so I can't remember.

@Bao: I think they are a bit softer but they're just so, so easy. We sometimes use Cruisers now and I miss that blue strip.

Pampers swaddlers. The hospital sent us home with huggies and we didn't like them as much. She was a big baby (8lb) but we were in nb for a while!
I didn't realize they don't all gave the wetness indicator!! I need that!

I liked Pampers Swaddlers, but I was given a pack of Huggies and didn't hate those either.

We like Huggies best and then pampers swaddlers. Both of them have the wetness indicator.

Pampers swaddlers here too! We were given some Huggies and didn't like them at all. We are only up to size 1 now but I think we will continue to keep using swaddlers now that they go up to size 5.
Oh and the wetness indicator is amazing. My DH thinks it's the greatest thing. I do find though that if I see any bit of blue I change right away and could probably let it go a little longer.

Another Pampers swaddlers family here! I do agree that we went through a million diapers instead of half a million because of the wetness indicator. Oh well - better for their newborn skin!

I love the Swaddlers! It seems the majority of HB moms who don't cloth diaper have the best luck with the Swaddlers. Huggies always leaked for us.

Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive. Hated the smell of the regular kind. We moved to target brand when she was about two months old, and they've been equally wonderful, just not as super soft.

@Bao: target brand changed and has the indicator to a size 2. Used them on another baby and they worked just fine although Internet reviews are conflicting. We used pampers swaddlers almost exclusively (used target brand that were left over from a shower favor) so otherwise I'm not much help.

We CD but it took 3 weeks for DS to fit into them, so we got Swaddlers and Huggies. The Huggies leaked out the tabs like crazy, but the Swaddlers were great! He is a long, lean baby.

Loved the Pampers Swaddlers - the blue strip was fantastic for those early days when it was tough to tell if the diaper was wet or not.

Swaddlers all the way for me. I'm so excited that they are making them in the larger sizes now. My hands-down favorite!
