Anything to avoid the summer in Texas. So, March/April/May would be great.

Instead, I'll be delivering in November, and be hugely pregnant during the hottest months of the year. Yippie!

I aimed for any time that would put me on maternity leave over Christmas. I got pregnant right away with a due date of Sept 28th so I would have come back right at the new year. I ended up miscarrying but was lucky enough to get pregnant right away again and I'm currently due on Nov 25th. Some years baby's birthday will probably end up on Thanksgiving but that doesn't bother me. Since it's not a gift giving holiday I don't think the LO will get shafted in the birthday department : )

I think either December/January to avoid the busy time at work or May/June so I can have a good part of summer off.

I am due in September, which is probably the worst time possible - I was so sick and tired the entire first trimester when I was insanely busy at work and couldn't tell anyone, will be hugely pregnant during the summer, and will have to go back to work at the beginning of our busiest time of the year.

DD was born April 1 (due 4/2) which was great because I was biggest over the winter months. I'm due Sept 16 with this one and am already dreading the summer heat.

I gave birth at the end of April, and honestly I would love to be on the same timeline for my next one. No pregnancy in super hot weather, plus it has been nice for it not to be cold while little one is young and I am off in the summer for maternity leave! So definitely I would choose April or May!

@Alivoo01: DH and I always joke about that! When we are ready to TTC, we will start at Christmas time, and if we don't get pregnant in 2-3 months, we wait for the next year! hahhaha totally just kidding, but we always laugh about that

I'd love April or May.

I think May or June-- I wouldn't be pregnant over the summer, but also wouldn't be too hugely pregnant in the winter when we have lots of ice and snow to slip on in Boston. Actually, with our TTC schedule, if it works on the first or second try, that's just what would happen, but we aren't planning it because of that.

All things being equal I would also like the kid to be among the oldest in their class. H and I both were and it had some benefits (got to drive first, drink first-- but not together!).

I loved being due in early May. I was a great time to have a baby, and I would choose March/April/May again if I could!

Probably March so I'd have 3 months of maternity leave, then Summer. I'm due at the end of February!

Our ideal month to have a baby would be August or September (so our baby would be a Virgo like both of us), but the thought of being in my 3rd trimester during a Texas summer is terrifying!

@highwire: we actually planned around this! i did NOT want to be hugely pregnant from june to september. i'm on the southern coast of virginia with 100% humidity, and i know i'd be a piece of work if i had to deal with that while enormous. i'm excited to be noticeably pregnant around the holidays.

we were planning to have the baby in late winter/early spring, and thankfully it worked out that way! february is perfect for us.

my former coworkers always advised me to try and time pregnancy so as not be 6-9 months pregnant during the hot, humid, sticky summer months!

Isn't it funny how so many of us are saying April/May but the most common month for birthdays is September (not here, just in general).

We started trying in April (which would give us a January EDD) hoping to be successful for a March-April-May baby. So far we're not gonna have a March baby... I just don't want to be super preggo in July/August!

@photojane: Haha cute! We are totally going to be hermits for the holidays this year. The baby is due the day after Thanksgiving, and we'll be in the throws of new parenthood for the entire holiday season. I'm excited/bummed about this.

@highwire: I am SOOO excited by the timing. Everyone will come to us for the holidays. And even though it's at my house someone else will do all the cooking and cleaning and taking care of me. And best of all I'll have a brand new baby to snuggle up with under the tree.

Pretty much when we're due -- February. That way I can avoid being tremendously pregnant in the Florida heat, and also avoid any "holiday-time" birthdays like January. So... go, us

@highwire: I was so stoked about cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners in our new huge kitchen. It's usually just my husband and me and my dad and his wife. But I make EVERYTHING. And now it turns out I'll be seven and eight months pregnant. Oh well... I can still do it with help... right?

@ladyfingers: Ha I'm sure!! I definitely will not be planning on cooking a Thanksgiving meal at 39 weeks at 6 days. Ha!

I thought I didn't want to be pregnant in the summer, but now that I am 34 weeks, I can honestly say it's not so bad. So my feet do swell in the heat, but they started swelling at about 26 weeks so I think it would have happened no matter the time of year. What's nice is I haven't had to buy too many clothes, just a few maxi dresses and a pair of jeans and a few t-shirts and I can wear flip-flops. We don't have air-conditioning and even so, I'm fine! So to the Southerners afraid of summer pregnancy, it's not so bad afterall...And I imagine with the air-conditioning on all the time it's totally fine.
@ladyfingers: You can totally do Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner for 4 at 7 & 8 months. I'm 8 months now and definitely have the energy to cook big meals still. You may want to sit for chopping though.
